College Republicans at Georgia State

Devin McLaughlin has appointed Weston Kirk as the Chairman pro-tempore. Kirk has served as the Treasurer for the past two academic years, and will continue in this role in the interim of finding a replacement. Kirk's biography is listed below:

Weston Kirk is an undergraduate finance major at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University ("GSU"). His interests lie in business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and derivative products. He has been the College Republicans at GSU's Treasurer for two years and currently holds a pro-tempore position as the club's Chairman and his role as the Treasurer. He also is an active participant of the Finance Society at GSU. He also was a 2011 participant in the prestigious Panthers on Wall Street program at GSU that takes a select group of 18 business majors to New York City to push their careers and build their knowledge in finance. Weston currently works at Willamette Management Associates in Atlanta as a business valuation intern and will continue at the firm once he graduates in May of 2012. He enjoys attending economic forecasting conferences and tutoring students in corporate finance coursework at GSU in his spare time. His goals for the College Republicans in Spring of 2012 is to improve the awareness of the organization on campus, improve voter registration among GSU students, and create a more cohesive and larger membership base to push the club into the future.
